The shelter experiences an influx of cats and dogs every spring due to unwanted litters, abandoned pregnant animals, or owners changing their minds. Owning a pet is a responsibility and commitment of 12 to 15 years. PLEASE be a responsible owner and have all your pets spayed or neutered to prevent unwanted litters. PLEASE think twice before acquiring an animal and consider that, despite our best efforts, we cannot find a home for all animals that come into our care. Fact: 1 in 5 cats born will actually make it into a permanent home for its lifetime. Fact: 2 in 5 dogs will stay with the same family for its lifetime. Reduce ( the pet overpopulation and don't buy or take pets on a whim, take care of the one you got) and Rehome ( adopt a shelter pet, give an animal a second chance at life and don't support over breeding).

Sassy, a 1 1/2 year old lab mixed female

Ruby, ADOPTED!

Tripod, a 3 year old terrier mixed male (fixed)

Tripod is a great little dog. He was named Tripod because he came in with an old injury that made him  walk on three legs. He has since had surgery, and is recovering well. He is great with people and cats, loves car rides and is quiet.

Lucky, ADOPTED!!!

Don't forget about us!
This is just a reminder that we have many cats and kittens available too and because we receive 4 cats for every dog they are often in more desperate need of a new home than dogs.
