If you are looking for a dog AND you want to make a difference, not only to one individual, but the community, adopt a shelter dog!

These dogs are looking for "forever" homes. They have all been vaccinated, dewormed and given a flea treatment. We take care not to adopt out any dogs known for aggression problems no matter what the breed. As you can see they come in all shapes and sizes!

Spenser, a 2 year old terrier mixed male

There are two things that make Spencer's world a lot brighter...walks and squeekie toys. This little guy is a treat to have around, because he has the playfulness of a puppy, but the calm temperament of an adult. We all love Mr. Spencer around here, because he is very low maintainance, and is great with anyone willing to give him a bit of attention!

Milan, a 2 year old fixed golden retriever mixed male

Milan is a fantastic dog, who has been here a long time! He is very intelligent, and learns very quickly. He walks well with some correction, knows his commands, and can pick up on things fast. He loves his toys and going for walks!
Kody, a 2 year old bernese/lab mix fixed male

This big boy is a great dog! He is good with children and all sorts of different people. He lived with other dogs, but we would prefer him going to a home without. He is a large breed, but is definitely a "gentle giant".

Annie, a 1 1/2 year old staffordshire terrier mixed female

The dog formerly known as Domino, has been renamed Annie. We didn't know a whole lot about Annie when she first came in, but now that she's been here a while, the name change seemed appropriate. She is quite the snuggler, and is a fabulous dog who loves attention. She is well mannered, is good with other animals and loves going for walks but her favourite thing to do is snuggle up on a couch with someone!

China, an 8 month old chow mixed female

This beautiful girl is starting to more and more look like a flat coated retriever than the chow we thought she was. She loves to be on someone's lap being showered with attention. She is a little timid around strangers, but once she knows you, your her best friend!

Cappy, a 7 month old golden retriever male

This wonderful pup is just waiting for his new home! We don't understand why he has been here so long, because he is not only a big goofball(you can't help but smile when he is around!) but is also a sweet and kind dog. He had a skin infection as a pup, but has since been treated. What he may not have in the looks department (although we think it gives him character!) he makes up for with his BIG HEART and his love for everyone and everything.

Cooper, a 2 year old chow mixed male

This blue-tongued gentleman is Cooper, who again, has been here for a while. Black dogs have a hard time getting adopted in shelters, but we are standing by Cooper and his wonderful personality. He is an overall great dog, who loves people, treats, going for walks and getting attention.

Neeko, a fixed 1 year old retriever/terrier mixed male

If you want a golden retriever but don't want a larger dog, this guy's for you, because of his size. He is great with other dogs, children, cats, etc. and has been Mr. Friendly since the day he walked into the shelter. Nothing bothers him, and nothing can stop his cheerful attitude!

Nicko, a 4 year old male german shepherd mix

Throw Nicko a ball and he'll be your best friend for life. He loves playing fetch (he tries to do it in his cage when people come to visit!) , is good with other animals and very friendly. This older guy is very loving and is just looking for a warm place to lie next to someone's feet. Oh! and throw a toy, too! :)

Kaya, a 1 1/2 year old husky/shepherd mixed female

This gorgeous girl came in as a stray, but she instantly trusted us and the shelter process! She is not only beautiful on the outside, but is also beautiful on the inside, as she loves everyone she meets!

Sally, a 10 month old fixed retriever/terrier mixed female
Pretty Sally looks a lot like Neeko, but is a little more outgoing than he is. She is housetrained, is great with kids, other dogs and cats. Like a lot of the dogs, her favourite passtime is going for nice long walks with the volunteers, or playtime upstairs.
